"The River of Life, Jesus"
Thank and praise Jesus who is the River of life; wherever the River flows, everything lives.
On Oct 6, 2012, Dr. Joseph and Maria Ahn came to serve us with a wonderful message at our United Thanksgiving Worship Service; At Humber, we could have time to have wonderful Bible study and Q&A time after lunch fellowship.
Then next day, on Sunday at Hamilton UBF Church, 3 chapters gathered together and worshiped the Lord Jesus as our Special Thanksgiving Worship Service.
Dr. Joseph Ahn gave us a wonderful message based on Ezekiel 47:1-12 entitled ‘The River of Life, Jesus.’
When Ezekiel was brought back to the temple, he found water trickled from the temple, but when he measured, this trickling water became at first, ankle-deep, then it became knee-deep, then waist-deep then it became a river that he could not cross. When the water trickled, it seemed so insignificant at first, but it became a river and there all kinds of fish could live. Not only that this water flew into the Dead Sea and it became changed into fertile land where all kinds of tree grew. In the Dead Sea nothing can live, anything comes into the Dead Sea, it is dead because it is too salty , likewise, once our life was like dead sea where nothing could survive. But when Jesus, the River of life came into our life, our dead hearts were changed into new and fresh in Jesus. And now, in Jesus, continual restoration is on the way. This passage gives us great hope and vision in Jesus. Wherever the River of Life, Jesus flows, everything lives, revives and restores into new creation.
Thank Jesus who is our hope and life. No one can change anyone but in Jesus, we can be new creation. May the River of Jesus come to us! Trickling water from Jesus may continue to flow into many young people as we pray and study the word of God. May God bring us great spiritual revival in our generation!
We are really thankful for Dr. Joseph and Maria Ahn who are full of humbleness and shepherd heart for us. They gave all their time and hearts to listen and talk to each of us including students and 2nd gen. We are very happy for their beautiful shepherd life. May the Lord fill their heart with God’s truth and strength every moment.
After the Worship Service, we all enjoyed delicious turkey lunch and we visited McMaster University and prayed for the Campus. May God bless McMaster, Guelph and Humber Campus with the River of Jesus through faithful Bible study.
